DESCRIPTION:The Downtown Orangeburg Revitalization Association is pleased to announce that it is serving as the lead partner for an upcoming 4-day public planning charrette to create a community vision plan for Downtown Orangeburg. The community vision plan process will occur during the week of June 16-19. A team of professionals who have been hired by DORA will additional support from the City of Orangeburg\, Orangeburg County Chamber of Commerce\, County of Orangeburg (accommodations tax funding) and other partners will conduct the community vision plan. This is a plan that's done on-the-spot in Orangeburg with input from the community.\n\nOrangeburg will not have to wait for weeks or months to see the plan\, it will be done right before our eyes. Best of all\, those who care about the future of Downtown Orangeburg get to have a say in what goes into the plan at a Town Hall input meeting on Monday\, June 16 at 6:00 pm in the Bluebird Theatre. After the Town Hall meeting\, the design team will study our local economy\, our assets\, our marketing and our physical environment to make all sorts of recommendations and designs that will improve on what makes Orangeburg great.
