Trinity United Methodist Church, 185 Boulevard Street, Orangeburg, SC will be celebrating its annual heritage week January 28 – February 1 & 6, 2015 commemorating 149 years in existence. The steering committee has chosen as a theme, “Lift Every Voice and Sing.” As a part of the week’s events our parish sponsors an annual dinner theater. This production will be held Friday, February 6, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the Smith Hammond Middleton Memorial Center, South Carolina State University, 300 College Street, Orangeburg, SC 29117.
As a part of this celebration we will have as our featured artist, The Trinity United Methodist Living WORD Players, of Orangeburg, SC. This group will present an original play entitled “Church Fight” written and directed by Judith “Judy” Johnson Geohaghan. We will also have Christian comediennes Del-Gratia Jones as “Ms. Mamie” of McColl, SC, Jennifer Banks as “Ms. Sue” of Blackville, SC and Juanita Mitchell as “Ms. Ludibelle Boswell” of Florence, SC.
This occasion culminates a week of celebrating a church with an affluent past, a purposeful present and a promising future – The 149th Anniversary Celebration of Trinity United Methodist Church. Please come and help us honor a rich heritage with an evening of entertainment, enjoyment and a spirit of love. This night is about taking the time for relaxing, sharing a laugh, having delightful conversation, enjoying a delectable meal and coming together to commemorate, observe and remember the rich history of the Trinity parish.
