OVERVIEW: To conduct a cancer disparities-focused Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Continuing Education Units (CEU) Conference for health professionals to improve the quality of cancer care in South Carolina and to bridge the gap in health care. COURSE GOAL: At the conclusion of this workshop, you should be able to identify and/or implement new cancer treatments to decrease cancer disparities rates in South Carolina pertaining to cultural competence (Presenter: Dr. Marvella E. Ford), colorectal cancer (Presenter: Dr. Brenda Hoffman), and HPV (Presenter: Dr. Kathleen Buford Cartmell). This workshop is designated as a Live Activity; therefore, the format will include lectures and question-and-answer segments.
