Orangeburg's DYB World Series: A Week of Baseball, Entertainment, and Family Fun Get ready for a week of unforgettable baseball action as the City of Orangeburg hosts the 2024 DYB World Series. This prestigious tournament, featuring all-star teams from 11 Southeast states in the Division 1 & 2 AA Coach Pitch (ages 7-8), takes place from July 25 to July 30 at the beautiful Orangeburg Recreational Park. Opening Ceremony Kicks Off the Festivities The excitement begins on Thursday, July 25, with a free and open-to-public Opening Ceremony held at the Oliver C. Dawson Stadium on the campus of SC State University. This special event, taking place from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm, will officially kick off the tournament and celebrate the young athletes participating. Experience World-Class Baseball Throughout the Week The tournament itself gets underway on Friday, July 26, with games starting at Orangeburg Recreational Park. Offering affordable access for spectators, a series pass is available for only $30 or a daily pass for just $10. The Ballpark will open two hours before the first pitch each day, allowing fans to settle in and cheer on their favorite teams. Free Entertainment Concert Series Adds to the Fun The 2024 Orangeburg DYB World Series goes beyond the diamond. Join us for a free Entertainment Concert Series taking place Friday, July 26 through Sunday, July 28, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm each night, also held at Orangeburg Recreational Park.
